Our friends over at HGTV.com have a great blog called Design Happens.
Editor Chelsey Bowen wrote a great post about Carrie and Big’s apartment in the new Sex and the City 2 movie (which is beautiful, by the way, but I don’t understand how they can afford it).
I haven’t seen the movie so I don’t know what neighborhood they live in, but I’m guessing Park Avenue or the Upper West Side. (Leave a comment if you know.)
As a fellow New Yorker, journalist and former single lady who met the love of her life in the Big Apple, I can relate to Carrie.
I only wish I can relate to owning an apartment as amazing as hers. Somehow, my junior 1-bedroom just doesn’t compare. Sigh.

It’s Annalisa reporting from the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Chicago and I’m looking forward to a great weekend learning about cool new trends and technology for the two most popular rooms in your home.
I spent most of the morning checking out the show floor, from Kohler’s mega-booth (more like showroom), which felt like a club with its blaring dance music, to Wood Stone’s booth, where they were baking fresh pizzas for convention-goers to sample.
I’ll be tweeting via @HGTVFrontDoor and posting updates on the blog periodically so follow along!
